Frequently Asked Questions
Your Questions, Answered
Where do you practice?
I perform massage services at my home-studio in Fairfax, VA. My house is very near Woodson High School and the intersection of Little Rive Turnpike (State Route 236) and Olley Lane.
Do you accept insurance?
I do not work directly with insurance companies, but many clients are able to submit claims to insurance or use health spending account funds based on documentation I can provide. My receipts document the massage therapy session date, type of treatment, and my license number for submission to health insurance companies or health/flexible spending accounts. I do not routinely provide receipts, so please let me know if you need them.
Payment
I accept payment in cash, by VENMO or Zelle, or by check. When you let me know how you want to pay, I will provide you with the details to complete the payment.
Lotions/Creams
If you have special requirements with respect to massage lotion or cream, please provide your own, which I will gladly use. Otherwise, I will provide massage lotion or cream as needed. I generally use CTS Laboratories Inc. massage oil that contains natural oils including castor oil and is lightly scented with lavendar.
Cancellations
In these uncertain times, I recognize that clients may need to cancel appointments with little or no notice. There will be no fee or consequences for cancellations. By the same token, I may have to cancel or reschedule appointments from time to time. I will always do my best to give you advance notice and to offer an alternative time as quickly as possible.
COVID or Other Illness Policy
I work as a massage therapist and as a birth doula with clients who are vulnerable for a whole variety of reasons. I do my utmost to ensure that I do not pose any threat of COVID or other infection to any of my clients. If I have been expose to an illness or feel ill, I will let you know and reschedule your appointment. I request that you do the same.
